Tses, Karas region, July 31- The tranquil surroundings of Swartwater Farm in the Tses area were shattered by a shocking incident of stock theft on Friday, July 28, 2023. A heartless suspect reportedly trespassed onto the farm, stealing 17 sheep from the owner’s kraal and callously slaughtering them without consent.

Initial reports indicate that the perpetrator gained unauthorized access to the farm’s kraal, brazenly making off with the valuable livestock. The loss of the 17 sheep has dealt a severe financial blow to the owner, amounting to an estimated value of N$25,500.00, and has deeply disturbed the tranquillity of the farming community.

Following the theft, the criminal acted swiftly, slaughtering the innocent animals. The discovery of one sheep carcass on the scene served as a grim reminder of the ruthless act committed on the property.

However, thanks to the prompt response and relentless efforts of law enforcement, one adult Namibian suspect has been apprehended in connection with this heinous crime. The arrest offers a glimmer of hope for the affected farmer and the local community as justice takes its course.
