THE Erongo Police are requesting the public’s assistance in tracking down suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Platz Am Meer mall in Swakopmund on Monday morning.
“The robbers fled and disappeared into the community. We are calling on the public to assist the police in these investigations,” said the Erongo Police.
Chief Inspector Ileni Shapumba of the Erongo Police revealed that the suspects used a silver seven-seater vehicle bearing a fake number plate (N16372S) as their getaway car.
“It was further reported that there was shooting during the incident, and one of the guards was shot and killed,” Shapumba said.
