TO promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle for kids through wellness, Martha Niilonga, a young and inspiring woman, will soon host the first edition of the “065 Kiddies Festival.”

It’s widely recognized that play, fun, and relaxation play an important role in healthy brain development, and it’s often through fun new experiences that children develop emotional strength and resilience.

The Kiddies’ Festival is scheduled to take place from 29–30 November this year at the Mayoral Park in Ongwediva, starting from 08:00 till late.

FESTIVITIES: Martha Niilonga, brainchild of the Kiddies’ Festival.

Entrance to the Kiddies’ Festival will cost N$20 for children and N$40 for adults.

The festival will be a fun-filled day featuring activities such as fun walks, games, prizes, food, drinks, music, and much more.

The “065 Kiddies Festival” is the first event of its kind in the northern part of the country. It is the brainchild of Niilonga, a resident of Ongwediva, who aims to bring families from all walks of life together for a day of fun and networking.

“With the world moving fast and everyone so busy, it’s hard to find time to spend quality moments with loved ones, especially with our little ones,” she explained.

She added that, with so many festivals taking place nowadays, people often forget that kids also want to have fun away from home with other children.

Niilonga also said that the festival is intended to give back to the community. They will invite willing families to donate second-hand winter clothing, shoes, and sanitary pads, which will be donated to a charity in the north.

“We encourage children living with disabilities to enter free of charge, so they too can be part of this fun-filled day,” she said.

She added that, to make the event a success, they are seeking assistance from generous sponsors of any kind. Sponsorship will go toward marketing, the venue, tents, games, rides, sound equipment, and shopping vouchers.
