At the W.K. Rover Hall at Keetmanshoop in the ||Kharas Region, law enforcement members, including police, correctional service, and defence force officers, queued up as early as six o’clock.

||Kharas Police Commander Marius Katamila shared his reasons why it is important for them to exercise their democratic right to vote.

“In a democracy, every person is accorded an opportunity to exercise his right to vote, and my right to vote is very important since it can make that difference. Apart from being a police officer, that is expected to be apolitical. We do not express in terms of colour and insignia, but we have the right to choose leaders that we think would be appropriate for the office.”

The ECN Presiding Officer, Ansa April, revealed that more than two hundred law enforcement officers had cast their votes by around one o’clock.
