LIKE last weekend, this coming weekend is also expected to bring widespread showers to various parts of the country.
According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, the northern regions, in particular, can expect moderate to heavy showers this weekend. These showers are expected to mainly affect the Zambezi, Kunene, and central northern regions. The Namibia Meteorological Services’ predictions also suggest the possibility of hailstorms in the Kunene Region this weekend.
While the heaviest rain is likely to be felt in the aforementioned regions, other northern areas may also experience some rainfall. In fact, the Namibia Meteorological Services highlighted Rundu in the Kavango East Region as one of the places likely to see showers throughout the weekend.
However, the north is not the only area expected to receive rainfall this weekend, as predictions also offer hope for the central, western, and southern regions.
According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, the Otjozondjupa, Khomas, Erongo, and south-eastern regions are among the areas that are expected to see a few showers this weekend. Windhoek was highlighted as one of the places where thunderstorms are likely over the weekend.
