NamWater has announced a planned water interruption in the town of Ondangwa on Wednesday, 20 November. The disruption will last from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The interruption is necessary to allow the contractor to complete the connection of a new pipeline and integrate it into the existing water infrastructure at the Ondangwa Pump Station.

NamWater advises residents to store sufficient water during this period to minimize inconvenience.

“This work is crucial for the ongoing upgrade of the Ondangwa-Oluno/Indangungu Pump Station and will result in improved water supply capacity and reliability once completed,” they added.

They stated that essential service institutions such as hospitals, schools, police stations, and clinics facing critical water supply needs are urged to contact the Manager for Operations Cuvelai, Abraham Ashipala at 081 129 9483, or the Schemes Superintendent, Nicodemus Ndemiwiimba at 081 145 5267. “We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this necessary work and appreciate your understanding and cooperation,” they concluded.
