South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has asked Namibians to throw their weight behind the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) ahead of next week’s National Assembly and presidential polls.
The party currently has two seats in parliament.
It has successfully fended off an attempt to deregister it by the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), leaving it with only a month to campaign.
The EFF said the NEFF offers an alternative that prioritises the ownership of land, resources and wealth by the people ensuring that Namibia works for all citizens.
“We call on the people of Namibia to vote decisively for change by rallying behind the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters. Since its inception, the NEFF has stood firm against injustice and has been a fearless advocate for radical transformation, economic injustice and land redistribution.
“Namibia is at a crossroads, and the current socio-economic challenges demand bold, radical, and visionary leadership that differs from the old liberation parties that have had their time and still have not brought the necessary transformation to the country,” said the party.
