The capital city is lit up with Christmas decorations, which shows how important they are for celebrating Christmas Day.

Christmas decorations generated enthusiasm among Windhoek residents, leading to celebrating the sacred day.

Christmas Day, which falls on December 25, is a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Many individuals are so excited about Christmas that it leads them to engage in a variety of activities, including decorating their houses, businesses, and personal spaces.

An entrepreneur at the Namibian Craft Centre, Claudia Hangara, shared her views on the importance of Christmas decorations.

“When Christmas time comes, then we remember the sacred birth of Jesus Christ, and the time that we meet as a family, we celebrate it. The decorations we have here remind us most times that we are in the time of the birth of Jesus Christ.”

The salesperson at Ethnic Africa Craft, Rossy Jebbes, further expressed her views on the importance of decorating the shop.

“We are here today at Ethnic Africa. We love to decorate the shop so, it makes the people feel welcome.”

Members of the Champions Brass Band say that Christmas Day is a holy day for them. To celebrate the event, they chose to dress up and play music for people as a band.
