Several areas have benefited from remarkable rainfall this festive season.
This is particularly true for places in the Otjozondjupa Region, where Hochveld, Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, Otavi, and Grootfontein recently experienced heavy downpours. The astonishing aftermath of the recent rainfall in Hochveld and surrounding areas has been captured and shared by Facebook user Natasha Prinsloo Hörsch, highlighting flooded spaces and roads in the area.
The Otjozondjupa Region is not the only area to have benefited from rainfall recently. Various parts of the country have also seen rain over the past few days, including Omaruru in the Erongo Region, Gobabis in the Omaheke Region, Windhoek in the Khomas Region, Aranos in the Hardap Region, and Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region.
According to Namibia Meteorological Services, more rainfall is expected tomorrow in the central and eastern parts of the country. Showers are predicted to be heavy, particularly in the Khomas, Omaheke, and Otjozondjupa regions.
