Trustco Bank CEO Quinton van Rooyen, says the Bank of Namibia’s decision to immediately suspend the bank for a period of six months prejudices Namibians. Van Rooyen filed an affidavit in the Windhoek High Court, seeking an urgent interim interdict against the suspension. He argues that the decision is unlawful, unreasonable, unfair, and undermines constitutional and natural justice principles. The CEO asserts that the suspension has adverse implications for Namibians and the bank’s operations.
