THE Ohangwena-based secondary school, Oshela, clinched its 8th trophy after defeating the host, Otjikoto Secondary School, over the weekend.
The tournament took place on September 23-24, 2023, at Oscar Norich Stadium, Nomstoub Tsumeb.
Oshela emerged victorious against Otjikoto with a score of 2-0 to claim the title.
Meanwhile, Uukule SS and Haudano SS shared the third and fourth place, respectively.
Phillip “Wetu” Lazarus, the school sports organizer, attributed their success to hard work and dedication, which has kept Oshela Senior Secondary School at the top of its game with this being their 8th victory.
Lazarus highlighted that the school’s achievements are the result of the hard work and dedication of both coaches and players, as well as the strong support from colleagues that has consistently led to positive results.
Their winning streak began in March during the Oshikunde Combined School tournament held from March 10-12, 2023. The second trophy was secured at Oshakati Combined School during the tournament held from March 31 to April 2, 2023.
With their momentum intact, they clinched their third victory during their own school tournament held from April 21-23, 2023. This was followed by another trophy at the Onanghulo Combined School tournament held from May 12-14, 2023.
Their impressive collection of cups continued after the Haimbili Haufiku Secondary School tournament.
Lazarus expressed their determination to reach the top and continue their winning streak.
