Three men allegedly took their own lives over the weekend at Oshakati and Ongwediva.
According to the crime report issued by Oshana police liason officer, Frieda Shikole, the three men died by suicide in separate incidents.
On Saturday at around 19h00 at Onawa village in Ongwediva, a 25-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in his bedroom.
He was identified as Oloho Julius Vathina from Ozo nawa village in the Kunene region. He was employed as a cattle herder.
No suicide note was left behind and his next of kin have been informed. His body was transported to Oshakati police mortuary for a postmortem to be conducted.
In another incident, a 32-year-old man allegedly took his own life on Saturday at around 09h00 at New Reception settlement at Ongwediva.
The deceased was identified as Kalumbu Horeb Hafeni, who was a first year student at the International University of Management (IUM) at Ongwediva campus.
He left a suicide note behind and his body was transported to Oshakati mortuary.
In another incident, a 43-year-old man died by suicide in his room at Uupindi informal location at Oshakati on Saturday at around 22h00.
He was identified as Mutumbulwa Nestor Tunamukwathi, a security officer at Oshakati.
His next of kin have been informed.
