TSUMEB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Victoria Kapenda said that she wants the breakfast meetings to be integrated into the economic calendar of the Council.

Kapenda expressed this desire during a first-ever breakfast meeting held with the hope of raising the needed funds for this year’s copper festival.

According to Kapenda, such meetings will undoubtedly serve as a platform for further collaboration and progress.

“This breakfast event marks not only a moment of celebration but also a testament to innovation and a paradigm shift in how our organizing committee, operating under the auspices of the Tsumeb Municipality, has been orchestrating this festival since 2005,” she said.

She added that it’s important to reflect on the fact that this event’s roots trace back to 2003 when it began as a collaborative venture between the Council and the private sector.

Kapenda emphasized that collaboration is the linchpin in expediting development across the three spheres of government and fostering economic diversification.

Tsumeb Mayor Mathews Hangula said they have come together to create an environment that fosters opportunities for potential investors, budding entrepreneurs, established businesses, and their cherished small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Hangula noted that together, they can empower entrepreneurship, cultivate lasting partnerships, and pave the way for a promising future for Tsumeb and the entire Namibia.
