Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) Chief Commercial Officer, Melvin Angula, has announced that he will be stepping down from his role at the telco.
The listed telecommunications company has already begun the recruitment process for his replacement, with General Manager of Product Solutions, Elton Katangolo, set to act in the role.
“As I move on to the next chapter of my professional journey, I leave MTC with a sense of fulfillment and optimism for the future. The strong foundations we have laid together will continue to support MTC’s growth and success. I am confident that the relationships we have nurtured will continue to flourish under the capable leadership and vision of the MTC team,” he said.
In its latest results, MTC recorded an after-tax profit of N$794 million for the year ended 30 September 2023, a slight increase from N$793.04 million in 2022. This comes as the telecoms company, during the period under review, realized a revenue growth of 5.3% to N$3 billion, driven by an increase in demand for data among other services.
MTC is Namibia’s mobile telecoms company with a market share of approximately 84% and a customer base of 2.17 million subscribers.
