AN employee of Onhokolo Market in Endola, Olivia Kashamba (30), and her co-accused, Matheus Amukoshi (29), have been granted bail of N$5 000 after appearing in court on various occasions at the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court.
The two are accused of embezzling approximately N$400 000 from company owner Naeman Simon.
Kashamba made her first appearance earlier this month, while Amukoshi appeared in court on Tuesday.
Magistrate Siegfried Geiseb postponed the matter to June 3, 2024, for the completion of police investigations.
Both accused pleaded not guilty and opted to conduct their own defense.
Public prosecutor Hiskia Uugwanga represented the state.
It is alleged that the two committed the crime between March 1 and October 21, 2023, at Onhokolo Market in the Oshakati district by wrongfully, unlawfully, and intentionally stealing N$365 314.93.
