NANDU Kanusu tragically drowned in the water canal next to Okanala location in the Akalungu village.
The deceased is originally from Okalonga village in the Cunene Province of Angola.
Omusati Crime Coordinator Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho said the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
“It is alleged that the deceased was last seen on Tuesday around 15:30 at Akalungu village, Okanala location, drinking alcohol, and his lifeless body was later discovered drowned in the water canal,” he said.
Simaho indicated that the body is kept at the Oshifo police mortuary and will be transported to the Okahao police mortuary for a postmortem to be conducted.
