Miss Universe Namibia 2024 Prisca Anyolo has expressed her gratitude to fans and supporters during the Miss Universe pageant.
“I would like to thank everyone for their support thus far, especially with regards to how ferociously you have been voting for me for public choice, as well as my charity project ‘Voice for Change’.
“I would also like to thank the entire Miss Namibia team for their hard work and dedication towards my preparation for this groundbreaking event, they have outdone themselves,” she says.
The 73rd Miss Universe pageant was held at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, on Saturday and Sunday, where 125 delegates battled it out for the crown.
Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua crowned her successor, Miss Denmark Victoria Theilvig. The first runner-up is Miss Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina and Miss Mexico María Beltrán was crowned as the second runner-up.
“I remain grateful Mexico, you were amazing. I am so happy for the newly crowned and deserving Miss Universe queens, may God bless their reigns,” Anyolo says.
During the international pageant, Anyolo says day 10 was emotional for her.
“The girls got closer during the Mental Health Awareness Workshop, and I’m amazed at how so many women you see as perfect have actually fought through myriad obstacles in life to get to where they are today, as phenomenal queens. I was moved and impressed by all the delegates’ stories, those who chose to share and be vulnerable enough to let the sisterhood in,” she says.
