August tourism occupancy surpasses pre-pandemic levels

The tourism industry has seen a strong rebound in its peak season, reaching an August 2023 occupancy rate of 68.9%, up from 60.98% in July 2023, an increase of 7.6 percentage points compared to the 61.3% rate in August 2022, and marking the highest occupancy rate since the pre-pandemic peak of 69.9%.
