Otjiwarongo, 14 August – In a groundbreaking effort to promote transparency and engage with the younger generation, Johannes !Gawaxab, the Governor of the Bank of Namibia, is set to participate in an interactive dialogue with students from various tertiary institutions in the Oshana Region on August 16, 2023. This event, scheduled to commence at 15:00, will be hosted at the Oshakati UNAM campus.
The primary objective of this engagement is to provide students with a unique opportunity to gain insights into the roles and functions of the Bank of Namibia, its contributions to sustainable economic growth, and the intricacies of monetary policy. By facilitating direct and open communication, this dialogue aims to bridge the informational gap between the central bank and the younger generation, encouraging their active involvement in shaping the financial future of Namibia.
