WELL-KNOWN local bar and carwash, Bix Carwash, has refuted reports of a stabbing incident involving a 49-year-old man, identified as Brave Tjizera Kavari, at their business premises. According to the weekend crime report, the incident occurred on June 24, 2023, at around 17:00 at Bix Carwash in Single Quarters.
It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the deceased, Brave Tjizera Kavari, a Namibian, on the left side of the neck with an unknown object, resulting in his immediate death. The next of kin has been notified, no arrests have been made, and the police investigation is ongoing. In response to these claims, Benjamin Kambala, the owner of Bix Carwash, said that the report from the Namibian police deviates from the truth and damages the image and reputation of Bix Carwash.
“Bix Carwash would like to inform the public that the individual in question was not murdered on the premises of Bix Carwash, as reported by NAMPOL, nor was the deceased a customer at Bix Carwash. Based on the information available to us, the deceased was murdered on the grounds of the City of Windhoek, which is located near the open market at Single Quarters in Katutura, and not at Bix Carwash,” Kambala said. He further added that ensuring the safety of their customers is a top priority for their business, and over the past ten years of operation, no incidents of violence or murder have been recorded on their premises.
“We want to reassure our clients that we will continue to strive and maintain a safe environment for them to enjoy themselves at our establishment without any concerns about their safety. We hope that NAMPOL will issue a media statement to rectify this damaging accusation and repair the harm done to our brand and reputation,” concluded Kambala.
