Boy (10) dies in road accident outside Karibib – National

A boy (10), identified as Santos Kalambela, died on Tuesday afternoon when the vehicle he was travelling in lost control and overturned between Karibib and Okahandja.

The Namibian Police say the accident happened at around 15h00, about one kilometre outside Karibib towards Okahandja on the B2 road.

Santos, who died on the spot, was allegedly the only passenger of the vehicle, however, the driver sustained head injuries and was transported to Usakos State Hospital before he was transferred to the Katutura Intermediate Hospital for further treatment. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Santos’ next of kin have been informed of his death.

Police investigations continue.
