Cabinet has directed the Cabinet Committee on Legislation to expedite the finalization of the Namibia Investment Promotion Bill, the Data Protection Bill, and the Special Economic Zone Bill.
This follows the Cabinet’s recognition of bottlenecks to investment due to policy, process, and project issues.
The Cabinet also directed the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform to prioritize the necessary financial and human resources for the Plant Health division.
Additionally, the Agriculture Ministry has been tasked with expediting the implementation of land requests and land registration.
The Ministry of Industrialization and Trade has also been directed to finalize the incentive proposal and the necessary amendments to the Financial Intelligence Act and related regulations to implement the incentives.
