Chief of Defence Force, Air Marshal, Martin Pinehas recently gave 14 officers their rank insignias when they got promoted by the Force.

The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs said Colonel Ndapandula Jacob was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as Chief of Staff Defence Health Services, while Colonel Abraham Nghondela was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as General Officer Commanding 4 Artillery Brigade.

“Commander Clemens Kashuupulwas was promoted to the rank of Captain Navy and appointed as Military Assistant to Chief of Defence Force and Lieutenant Colonel Glenda Simasiku was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Senior Staff Officer Gender under the Directorate of Human Resources,” they added.

They stated that Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Alweendo was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Senior Staff Officer of Defence Technology and Special Projects, furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel Peturs Singuwe was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Senior Staff Officer of Information General Service Support. “Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Akwenye was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Senior Staff Officer Plans and Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Peter Mudhiks was was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Commander Military Hospital,” they informed.

They said Lieutenant Colonel Nicodemus Kiimba was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Senior Staff Officer Pharmaceutical, while Lieutenant Colonel Wilhelm Katumwa was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Senior Staff Officer Environment, and Lieutenant Colonel Kuume Erastus was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed as Deputy Commander, 4 Artillery Brigade.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 14 Officers on their well-deserved promotions and wish them fulfilment and success in their new roles,” they concluded.
