A 39-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing seven goats from Okandombo village.

Oshikoto NamPol spokesperson, Inspector Ellen Nehale, said that the incident occurred between December 2022 and April 2023, on an unknown day, date, and time in the Omuntele Constituency.

Nehale indicated that the suspect allegedly stole seven goats from his employer, where he worked as a domestic worker.

“The suspect took the goats one by one from the complainant’s house, where he was employed at Onamavo village,” she said.

She added that the suspect was reportedly caught while attempting to sell one goat around April 2023.

As of now, only four goats with two kids have been recovered. The recovered stock is valued at N$7 000.

Nehale mentioned that the suspect will appear before the magistrate’s court in Ondangwa this week.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
