Early Christmas event held for San community at Epukiro

The Murangi Artistry Charity Project hosted an early Christmas party for children of the San community in the Epukiro constituency of the Omaheke region on Monday.

The event was held at the Rooiland settlement, where children were taught about topics such as health and community values.

In addition to helping the San community, the project has been assisting needy communities with food parcels in Windhoek and villages within the Epukiro constituency since its inception.

Speaking on behalf of the parents, Maria Bau expressed gratitude for the Murangi Artistry Charity Project’s efforts to support the San community.

“This event didn’t only bring joy to our children, but we as parents are overwhelmed and appreciate the efforts of these young people who care about the plight of marginalised groups,” she said.

Bau added that the children learned valuable lessons during the event, alongside receiving gifts, clothing, and a Christmas meal.

“We are grateful that there are people who see our needs and assist us in kind,” she remarked.

Established in 2022, the Murangi Artistry Charity Project is spearheaded by the Murangi sisters – Ruth, Janet, and Gertrud.
