The Deputy Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture, Faustina Caley, is calling on the management teams and other stakeholders at schools across the country to develop strong and resilient teamwork at their institutions to inspire improved academic performance across the board.
Calley conducted regional consultations in Gobabis and the wider Omaheke Region with the objective of ensuring enhanced education outcomes in 2023 and the years to come.
The Deputy Minister commended the education authorities in the Omaheke Region for actively participating in various initiatives aimed at enhancing academic performance.
She acknowledged that the region has taken the lead in numerous areas.
One notable effort in the region involved organising educational seminars at different schools.
These seminars provided platforms for teachers, students, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share best practises, and explore innovative teaching methods.
“I would like to encourage schools to work closely with stakeholders, communities, and traditional leaders in order to gain their support and assist the school in the implementation of school development plans. As the Ministry, we are confident that together we can change the academic results for 2023 and beyond.”
Augustinius Tebele, the Councillor of the Gobabis Constituency, echoed the importance of ongoing monitoring and evaluation of implemented strategies to assess their effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
The regional governor, Pijoo Nganate, emphasised the importance of school management teams working diligently and remaining committed to their schools’ vision and mission.
