DESPITE economic difficulties, exhibitions continue to play a crucial role in assisting people in growing their businesses and increasing brand awareness.
The Eenhana Town Council will be hosting the 13th edition of the Eenhana Expo. The previous edition, held in 2019, attracted over 110 exhibitors from domestic and foreign markets.
The event aims to boost commerce in Eenhana and beyond. It is scheduled to take place from 31st July to 05th August 2023, under the theme: “Reviving local economy through business resilience, innovation, and diversification.”
Paulus Shilongo, the town spokesperson, mentioned that considering the scale of the event, the council will organize a fundraising event on Friday to secure the necessary funds for a successful exhibition.
Shilongo emphasized that the primary objective is to revive the economy for the benefit of business people and the entire country. He also highlighted that the expo is not only for Eenhana residents but for all Namibians.
He further added that they have aimed to provide ample space this year to allow people to promote their goods and services effectively.
According to Shilongo, the event will also bring necessary services closer to the public, making it more affordable and offering a one-stop shop experience.
The main event is expected to be officially opened by Minister of Trade and Industrialisation, Lucia Iipumbu.
