Five housebreaking cases in Windhoek over festive season

The police have reported multiple cases of housebreaking in Windhoek over the festive season.

In a crime report issued on Friday, the police said items valued at N$130 200 were stolen at Rocky Crest on Tuesday.

“It is alleged that suspects broke into the victim’s house and stole jewellery, a smart television, six laptops, two mobile phones, an iPad, a portable speaker, and a bunch of vehicle keys, altogether valued at N$130 200,” the report says.

In another incident, goods worth N$25 000 were allegedly stolen at Suiderhof on Wednesday.

“It is alleged that the suspects broke into the victim’s house and stole a bicycle, helmet, television, two Apple Watches, jewellery, and other household items, altogether valued at N$25 000,” the report notes.

Three more cases of housebreaking were reported, with only two suspects, aged 23 and 42, arrested in one of the incidents.
