THE Namibian police intercepted and arrested four suspected robbers in Ombili informal settlement who stalked a businessman that collected money from his shops.
According to Chief Inspector Elifas Kuwinga of the Namibian police, members of the Namibian Police received a call from a complainant that he was being followed by a White Toyota Corolla with Registration Number N 95168 W.
Kuwinga said that after the tip-off, the members responded promptly and chased the said vehicle from Katutura Blackchain Shopping Mall up to the Ombili four-way stop at the corner of Etetewe and Omupavu Streets.
After the interception, four male suspects aged 48, 26, 46, and 38 were found.
Kuwinga said that the suspects were found in possession of 1X. 38, a special revolver without ammunition with a scratched serial number, and a 9mm Makarov with 9X rounds of ammunition, also with a scratched serial number. Two reflectors were also found in the vehicle. The vehicle registration numbers on the vehicle were discovered to be fake, and there is no license disc on the vehicle.
All suspects are arrested and well detained, fortunately free from injuries. Police investigations are ongoing.
