Mihe Gaomab II, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Namibia Industrial Development Agency (Nida), has resigned.
The company’s spokesperson, Wezzel Nanuseb, has confirmed the resignation.
“The board announced that the CEO tendered his resignation, effective 11 October 2023. So it is true,” he says.
Gaomab has been on suspension with full benefits since January, pending an internal investigation.
He has been at the helm of the agency since April 2021.
Phillip Namundjebo has been appointed as acting CEO until the board appoints a permanent replacement.
