Namibia’s premier private tourism operator, the Gondwana Collection, has launched another round of its transformative Go4Gold program.

This initiative aims to challenge deep-seated fears and personal convictions, promising life-altering positive changes for those who fully commit to the process.

Gys Joubert, the CEO of the Gondwana Collection, explains that the company’s success is rooted in its commitment to investing in people and fostering a culture of transparency, which forms the foundation of its organizational philosophy.

In this nurturing environment, every team member is encouraged to play a meaningful role, contributing to the collective success of the organization.

The 2024 Go4Gold team embarked on their advanced leadership journey earlier in January and all are eager to evolve into mindful leaders who can significantly impact both their teams and the broader Gondwana community.

Welcoming the new participants, Joubert stressed the importance of investing in people.

“This team represents Gondwana’s future.” He said while elaborating on how the Go4Gold program is designed to challenge participants and encourage growth.

“When you choose courage over comfort, growth will inevitably follow,” he remarked, setting an empowering tone for the program.

The Go4Gold program comprises six modules, each lasting four days over the course of 12 months. It includes practical “on-the-job” projects to integrate the learned knowledge into the workplace, culminating in a year-long project that develops skills in planning, strategic thinking, decision-making, and budgeting.

The first session, marking the completion of Module 1, focuses on foundational leadership aspects like self-awareness and understanding human perceptions, critical for leading others effectively.

Joubert extended his best wishes to the Go4Gold team for their personal development journey and expressed eagerness for the final presentations in November, which will demonstrate the practical application of their newly acquired skills.

The Go4Gold program is a testament to the “Gondwana Way,” a holistic approach encompassing a 12-month transformation journey, discovery of potential through six modules, team support for self-esteem development, and the empowering decision to move beyond the victim role and actively shape one’s life.
