South Africa’s suspended Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkwebane, faces an uncertain future as her days are seemingly numbered. According to TV news-outlet eNCA, an independent panel’s findings have been voted upon by the committee investigating her fitness to hold office, and the verdict is in: Mkwebane is largely found guilty of incompetence and misconduct. The suspended official has been in limbo since her suspension in June of the previous year.
