The Governor of the Hardap Region, Salomon April, has highlighted the importance of partnerships in overcoming challenges in education.
He said this during the handover of stationery worth over N$300,000 to 11 schools in the region by NamWater.
Schools that benefitted from NamWater’s generosity are Tsunamis, Anna Maasdorp, Samuel Veldskoen, Mukorob, Klein Hub, Groendraai, WJD Cloete, JW Mouton, Eduard Frederick, Piet Diergaardt, and Nabassen primary schools.
NamWater’s generosity comes in response to the 2021 Multi-dimensional Poverty Index, which identified significant challenges related to education.
The initiative is a strategic intervention aimed at equipping learners with essential tools and fostering an environment conducive to learning.
Governor April furthermore called on learners to embrace educational resources.
On behalf of NamWater’s CEO Abraham Nehemia, its Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer Kadiva Hamutumwa reiterated the parastatal’s commitment to uplifting Namibian communities through education.
