A 41-year-old Namibian woman identified as Selestine Nuusiku Shilongo died after being stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend.
According to Inspector Raimbert Muronga of the Namibian police, the murder, read with the Domestic Violence Act, happened on Monday, October 9, 2023, at about 17:30 on Omulunga Street in Havana.
Inspector Muronga reported that the suspect allegedly stabbed his girlfriend three times in the back with a kitchen knife. The deceased succumbed to her injuries on the spot and was declared dead by certified City of Windhoek paramedics.
“Additional information indicates that the duo’s relationship was characterized by a history of violence. The suspected murder weapon was recovered, and the 41-year-old suspect is also apprehended,” Inspector Muronga said.
