Model and entrepreneur Rahab Inghalwa, who has last been in the spotlight five years ago, recently announced her return to modelling.
Inghalwa says she decided to step back from modelling for a while to focus on her personal growth, education and to explore other career paths.
“It was important for me to take time for myself and develop other interests outside of the modelling industry,” she says
“During my time off from the modelling scene, I put all my effort into a nine to five job, studies, spending quality time with my family, achieving other personal goals, and prioritising self-care,” she says.
Inghalwa’s modelling career dates back to 2015, when she took part in a fashion show. Afterwards, she started developing her portfolio.
She says she is excited to return with fresh energy. She has grown both as a person and as a creative, she says.
“Expect a more mature, nuanced approach to the work I take on. I plan to return with a focus on digital platforms. You will see me on social media, as well as in campaigns that embrace diversity and innovation in fashion,” she says.
As part of her new journey, Inghalwa aims to engage the public on topics around inclusivity and sustainability.
“This time, I’m bringing a more holistic approach to my career. I want to engage with my audience on a deeper level and use my platform to not just showcase fashion, but to advocate for causes I care about, such as sustainability and inclusivity in the industry,” Inghalwa says.
She says she looks forward to reconnecting with her followers and the creative community.
“My modelling career has been an exciting and transformative journey, filled with unique experiences and opportunities to gain confidence, network and to stay grounded. I get to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures,” she says.
“I enjoy collaborating with talented designers, photographers and creatives to showcase dresses. It has been a mix of shows, editorial shoots and campaigns, all of which have taught me a lot about both the fashion industry and myself.”
Inghalwa describes modelling as an art. She says it has helped her to build confidence and gave her a platform to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
“Modelling is about expression, storytelling and being part of a collaborative effort to bring ideas to life. It allows me to be a canvas and communicate emotions without words. I get to experience my artistic side. Modelling has opened up many doors for me, not only professionally but also personally,” she says.
