PRIMARY schools in Okongo were the recipients of stationery worth N$6,000 from the Okongo Constituency as part of efforts to support government initiatives.

A total of 500 learners from Okongo Project School and Olukeno Primary School, located east of the Constituency, benefited from this initiative.

Okongo Constituency Councillor Efraim Shipindo stated that 200 learners from Okongo Project School and 300 from Olukeno Primary School received assistance.

The Okongo Project School, established recently, offers education from pre-primary to Grade 7.

“We initiated a program called ‘Assist a Namibian Child’ with the mission to ensure that knowledge is accessible to all,” Shipindo explained.

He emphasized that many learners come from impoverished backgrounds, and he believes that education is key to eradicating poverty.

Shipindo stressed that they are working tirelessly to support Namibian children with the resources available at all times.
