Natasja Louw was the overall winner of the Sunday School Medal golf competition which was hosted by the Windhoek Golf & Country Club last weekend.
Louw had a gross score of 89, but with a handicap of 24, she posted the best nett score of 65.
Justus Amutenya won the A division with a nett score of 69, followed by Likius Nande on 70, who beat three other golfers on a count-out, namely Mervin Nangolo, Wessel Louw Junior and Alfie Ndyenge.
They were followed by Bertus Damon on 71, and Elias Mulombwelwa and Steven Lukas on 73 each.
Aldo Beukes won the B division with a nett score of 70, after beating Gaurav Talwar on a count-out, while Wisdom Moyo came third on 72, after beating Ian Wood on a count-out.
Penda Naanda won the C division with a nett score of 70, followed by Gustav Jung on 74, who beat Danie vander Merwe and Raymond van Zyl on a count-out.
Justine Shikulo won the women’s division with a score of 70, followed by Hansina Hinda on 73 and Jolene van Schoor on 75, while Hafeni Nghinamwaami won the Pro’s category with a score of 74, followed by Josef Nawanga on 75 and Graeme Fransman on 79.
The nearest-to-the-pin winners were Steven Lucas on the third hole, Wessel Louw (ninth hole), Likius Nande (12th hole), Wessel Louw Junior (13th hole) and Chris van Lill (17th hole).
The winners of the longest drive competition were Natasja Louw on the 18th hole for the women, and Zillan du Pisanie on the seventh hole for the men.
A total of 56 players competed in the tournament.
The Windhoek Golf & Country Club will host the final Windhoek Lager International Pairs qualifying round competition this coming weekend.
