A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a goat worth N$2 500 in Eengwena village in Omusati’s Okalongo constituency.
Omusati Crime Coordinator Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho said the goat was stolen between Monday and Tuesday.
A case of stock theft has since been opened.
“It is alleged that the suspect took out /drove out the complainant’s goat from the kraal and allegedly slaughtered the goat,” he said.
He added that only the carcass was recovered.
He is expected to appear before court this week.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
