WILBARD Shivute Uudhila, the 73-year-old resident of Omuhenye Village in the Omusati Region, who is accused of having murdered village headman Tobias Nangolo Shetunyenga, was remanded in custody following his first appearance in the Okahao Magistrate’s court today.
The case was postponed to November 1 pending further police investigation. Uudhila was arrested after he allegedly stabbed the 59-year-old village headman with a traditional knife while they were socializing at local shebeens Monday evening.
The victim died instantly. Eyewitnesses informed the police that the two had neither quarreled nor engaged in any argument.
