A CASE of attempted rape was reported to the police at Aranos on Saturday.
It is alleged that a 48-year-old male suspect entered the the sleeping room of the 65-year-old woman at around 04:00, undressed himself and attempted to rape the pensioner.
However, the victim screamed and was rescued by her son who grabbed and confined the suspect until the police arrived.
The incident occurred in a house in the Nuwerus location in Aranos.
