President Nangolo Mbumba on Monday departed to Luanda, Angola, for a one-day official visit.
This was announced by the Namibian Presidency on Monday morning.
Mbumba’s trip comes after two recent diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
Defence and veterans affairs minister Frans Kapofi recently travelled to Angola to deliver a letter from Mbumba to his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
Last week, Mbumba received a courtesy visit from Angolan minister of external affairs Tête António, who delivered a message from Lourenço to Mbumba.
The Namibian Presidency at the time announced on its social media pages that the meeting was on “mutual interests affecting both countries and the region at large”.
