MegaFest to unite gospel artists

The first-ever MegaFest Revival Music Festival and entrepreneurship market day is set to take place this Saturday at the Zoo Park amphitheatre in Windhoek.

The festival aims to bring together music enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and community members.

According to the organisers, the festival is in line with president Hage Geingob dubbing 2023 the year of revival.

Dr Alfons, a gospel singer and festival organiser, says the mandate of the festival is to create a platform of spiritual awakening that would have a positive impact on the youth to engage in entrepreneurship projects and to become self-sustainable.

“MegaFest is a non-denominational event comprising different groups of people, business classes, and stakeholders based in Windhoek. We believe God has a wonderful plan for Namibia in particular through the lives of young people,” he says.

He says the festival aims to create a platform for gospel artists to showcase their talent, inspire the audience and support entrepreneurship.

Gospel artists who will perform on Saturday include Dr Alfons, Maranatha, Pride, Ndenda, Ps Verdade, Udochi, Natalia, Natasha, Jael MK, Rodriquez, Letichia, Frans Marti and Ndenda.

The festival will kick off with entrepreneurs’ food and drink stalls, as well as stalls showcasing Namibian-made products.

Dr Alfons says there will also be corporate networking stalls.

The live performances will start from 18:00.

“We believe that the festival, including a competition, would not only entertain and inspire attendees, but would also provide a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their ventures and win an exciting prize,” Dr Alfons says.

He invites all gospel lovers and supporters of Namibian music to join the event.

Tickets cost between N$200 and N$500.
