Immanuel Mulunga, the suspended managing director of the National Petroleum Corporation (Namcor), is facing legal action over an alleged unpaid loan of N$50 000.
The lawsuit has been filed by Dr Sandra Joachim, stationed at Omuthiya, who claims she lent Mulunga the money in October 2023 with the understanding it would be repaid within a month or upon demand.
However, according to court papers, the loan remains outstanding.
Mulunga’s legal representatives, led by Jermaine Muchali, have contested the claim.
“Regarding the aforesaid civil claim against Mr Mulunga, we have already filed our notice of intention to defend the claim because the allegations are preposterous and baseless in law,” Muchali said.
