Namibia honored for media freedom commitment



Namibia was honored with the “Champion of Press Freedom in Africa Award” at the 10th International Festival of Freedom of Expression and the Press in Burkina Faso. The recognition acknowledges the country’s commitment to media freedom, demonstrated by its top-ranking position in the Reporters Without Borders’ Press Freedom Index, both in Africa and globally. Here’s the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology’s acting executive director, Roselia Penda.
