The buildup to the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly Elections has been intense and interesting.
And, as D-day approaches, the nbcNews Team took to the University of Namibia’s (UNAM) southern campus in Keetmanshoop to ask students which election issues are important to them, and need immediate action.
Students say they have prioritised key issues for the fifth Namibian President immediately after assuming office.
Key among the issues that need to be addressed are access to education and youth unemployment.
The students advocate for the establishment of more tertiary institutions in regions such as Kunene and Hardap and skills training to arrest youth unemployment.
Turning to the economy, the students congratulated the government on its achievements since independence but said more needs to be done.
