THE Namibia Police (NamPol), through the INTERPOL NCB Windhoek Office, is seeking the public’s assistance to locate Yaleen Rachel Maré (9) and her biological father, Jacob Philipus Maré.
According to NamPol’s Head of Public Relations, Kauna Shikwambi, Jacob Philipus Maré allegedly picked up his nine-year-old daughter from school on 14 October 2024 without her mother’s consent and travelled with her from South Africa.
“The father and missing child were last seen in Otjiwarongo, Otjozondjupa Region, but fled after being stopped by the police on 24 October 2024. The mother of the missing child has since registered a case, as per Windhoek Cr 613/10/2024,” Shikwambi said.
Anyone with relevant information regarding the whereabouts of the missing nine-year-old girl and her father is encouraged to assist by contacting Chief Inspector Tjiroze at +264 81 250 5036.
