Nandi-Ndaitwah promises to improve sport infrastructure after Afcon success

The deputy prime minister and minister of international relations and cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, says the government is committed to developing sport infrastructure and is rallying behind the Brave Warriors football team.

This comes after the Brave Warriors pulled off a historic win, finishing third in their first-round group in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Côte d’Ivoire and advancing to the second round of 16.

In a media statement on Sunday, Nandi-Ndaitwah congratulated the Brave Warriors on their performance in the tournament.

“Regardless of the defeat in the second round, the Brave Warriors exhibited consistency and preserved their pace in their performance since the beginning of the game,” she said.

She thanked the team for being true ambassadors, representing Namibia and making their nation proud.

“As the government is committed to improve sports infrastructure, we call upon the nation to rally behind the Brave Warriors, and we have no doubt that the team will continue to make us all proud. We are confident that they will score more goals and win many more matches,” she concluded.
