New Era managing editor suspended

New Era managing editor Johnathan Beukes has been suspended.

This was confirmed by the chief executive of the state-owned New Era Publication Corporation, Christof Maletsky, on Monday afternoon.

Maletsky said the reason for the suspension of Beukes cannot be disclosed, as it is “an internal matter”.
