WINDHOEK, July 21 — Noronex Limited, a leading exploration company, is embarking on an exciting new venture with its maiden 4000m RC drilling program set to commence at the Humpback project in Namibia’s Kalahari Copper Belt. The company’s recent successful capital raise has fully funded the drilling campaign, which will be undertaken by Namibian-based Hammerstein Drilling. With a focus on high-priority copper-silver exploration targets at the Fiesta and Blowhole prospects, Noronex aims to unveil the potential of this underexplored region.

The Humpback project in Namibia’s Kalahari Copper Belt presents a promising opportunity for Noronex. The exploration tenement package spans about 7000 square kilometres and encompasses approximately 300km of strike length along the sheared contact between the D’Kar and Ngwana Pan Formation (D’Kar-NPF). This geological setting has historically hosted numerous Kalahari Copper Belt deposits, making it an attractive area for exploration.

Noronex’s Fiesta prospect, located in the southwest of the exploration tenement group, has already exhibited historical copper intercepts comparable to those found in other Central African copper belt deposits, over 400km away in Botswana. Historical drilling at Fiesta revealed a steeply-dipping sheet of copper-silver mineralization, with notable intercepts of 8m at 2.5% copper and 78g/t silver from 127m depth.

The company plans to conduct an infill drilling campaign to evaluate the continuity of mineralization between previous holes, as copper-rich zones exceeding 20m identified in historical drilling were often not fully explored. Furthermore, several high-priority targets have been identified both within and beyond the known envelope and structures of Fiesta, presenting an opportunity for significant discovery.

Noronex’s Blowhole prospect, situated approximately 130km northeast along strike from Fiesta and near the Namibia-Botswana border, is equally promising. Aeromagnetic surveys have confirmed Blowhole’s direct strike continuity with the sheared antiformal D’Kar-NPF contact, which has hosted mineralization at other notable prospects like Cobre’s Ngami and Thul projects.

Cobre, operating less than 100km to the northeast of Blowhole, has reported encouraging intersections, including 10.7m at 1.3% copper under shallow cover. However, despite its potential, Blowhole has never been drilled before, making Noronex’s five-hole drilling campaign a historic and pivotal moment for exploration in this region.

Noronex’s commitment to sustainable and responsible exploration practices ensures that the drilling program adheres to the highest environmental standards. The company aims to strike a balance between unlocking the region’s mineral potential and preserving its natural integrity for future generations.

With its fully funded drilling program and a strategic focus on the Fiesta and Blowhole prospects, Noronex is set to make significant strides in uncovering the mineral potential of Namibia’s Kalahari Copper Belt. As the company takes its first steps towards exploration, the industry eagerly awaits the results of this maiden campaign, which could mark the beginning of an exciting chapter in Namibia’s mining landscape.
