THE Swapo Party’s Ogongo district received a donation of N$52 000 from Swapo member of parliament Fenny Nanyeni.
Nanyeni presented the donation on Sunday during a district meeting that included all sections, branches, Swapo wings, and district leadership in Ogongo.
Out of the donated funds, N$20 000 is designated for the construction of a new district office building.
Additionally, N$30 000 will be shared among all section leaders who are not employed, to be divided equally. Another N$2 000 will be allocated for office operations by the district coordinator.
During the same event, Nanyeni urged the Ogongo district leadership to maintain unity and build a strong working relationship for the benefit of the Namibian people. She further encouraged the leaders to consistently lead by example and uphold honesty and transparency.
District Coordinator Leonhard Alweendo Nangolo said that this significant financial contribution is a first for the district. He emphasized the importance of other leaders following suit and providing support to members on the ground, as they are the ones who keep the party vibrant and active.
